Responsibilities
Relieve Day Shift Cattle Schedulers, by stepping in to complete remaining incoming calls and wrapping up final load details
Ensure cattle are properly scheduled and delivered on time for each slaughter day at Regional Beef Plants
Assign delivery slots/appointments to maintain an adequate flow of cattle
Resolve trucking issues that occur during evening hours
Hire and dispatch haulers for transportation or assist a supplier during transportation/delivery process
Data entry of all purchases turned in while working while maintaining accuracy
Develop a good and positive working relationship with all stakeholders
Create and distribute reports to all appropriate stakeholders
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Able to work Sunday to Thursday 3:00pm – 11:30pm MT with occasional Friday evenings when plant is scheduled for operating weekend
Ability to answer occasional morning call if clarification is needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Keyboard and ten key proficiencies required
Good communication skills with schedulers, buyers, suppliers, haulers and plant personnel
Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate
