Responsibilities
Test custom applications and GIS components to validate business requirements and system functionality
Create and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts; execute tests and analyze results
Identify, document, and track defects; participate in defect triage meetings and project demos
Work in an Agile environment to support sprint testing needs and project timelines
Collaborate with business partners, PMO, and vendor delivery teams to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by assisting SMEs/Business Analysts with scenarios, RTM documentation, and end-user instructions
Provide weekly QA status reports to the QA Testing Lead and escalate issues or risks as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of experience in QA/testing for software development projects
Experience developing and executing test plans and scripts (manual and/or automated)
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Ability to review and interpret requirements and design documents
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Preferred
Experience with multiple testing types (regression, performance, security, post-go-live validation, etc.)
Experience with GitHub and ServiceNow
Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA/Azure DevOps preferred)
Public sector experience is a plus
Testing certifications (CAST, CSTE, CSQA, CMSQ) preferred
