The position focuses on designing, installing, maintaining, and enhancing z/OS systems software within an IBM mainframe environment, including analyzing system updates, establishing software standards, and providing technical guidance to other teams.

Required

Proficiency in z/OS administration and maintenance
Strong knowledge of IBM mainframe hardware architecture
Experience with zSeries subsystems (CICS, IMS, DB2)
Experience working with and administering Linux on Z (z/VM & KVM)
Understanding of software design, programming, installation, and maintenance
Ability to evaluate and improve software performance
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and documentation skills
4-year degree + 8 years IS experience (including 4 in systems programming) + OR 2‑year technical degree + 10 years IS experience + OR equivalent experience with 4 years in systems programming
Experience establishing and enforcing software standards
Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Experience analyzing and implementing software modifications safely

Preferred

Knowledge or experience with AT‑TLS
Knowledge or experience with BMC Control‑M
