P&C Carrier Territory Business Development Manager

First Acceptance Insurance is seeking a Territory Manager responsible for managing Independent Agencies to drive profitable sales growth. The role entails achieving sales targets, training agencies, and maintaining strong relationships with appointed agents.

Responsibilities

Consistently achieve agreed-upon new business production, direct written premium, loss ratio goals, and other KPIs on an annual basis by effectively managing the agents of an assigned territory
Work independently to schedule daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly activities to achieve the required objectives
Solicit new agencies, evaluate their potential to write quality new business, and recommend qualified new agencies for appointment to the vice president of Business Development
Training appointed agencies on First Acceptance Products, Processes, and Technology
Recommend agencies to participate in profit-sharing, rewards, special incentives programs, and other agency sales initiatives
Increase the percentage of producing agents within the territory through relationship management, additional training, and process improvements
Terminate agents for lack of production, unprofitable results, or other causes
Routinely conduct agency visits to review production, quality, and profitability trends
Document visits, actions, and communications with each IA in Salesforce
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree equivalent education, training, and work-related experience of 5 years or more in a Territory Manager or High-Volume Sales capacity
2+ years of work-related experience in P&C insurance operations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Salesforce, and other sales analytics reports
A proven track record of consistently meeting sales and new business expectations, including achieving sales plan targets
Must possess practical verbal and written communication skills
Must perform well in high-energy, dynamic, and team-oriented environments
Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly
High degree of initiative, mature judgment, and discretion
Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks within a timely manner with limited supervision
