Benefits Specialist
Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company is a subsidiary of Unum Group that provides financial protection benefits to workers and their families. Responsibilities
Administer various employee benefit programs, including health, dental, life, and disability insurance
Ensure compliance with legal regulations like FMLA
Address employee inquiries and assist with enrollments
Maintain benefits documentation
Communicate effectively with employees, insurers, and other stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service
Qualification
Required
Experience in Benefits Administration and knowledge of Insurance policies
Understanding of the U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and related regulations
Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to clearly explain benefit options and resolve concerns
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
Proficiency in relevant software or platforms, including benefits administration systems
Preferred
Prior experience in human resources or employee benefits is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
