Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the organization’s Laboratory Safety Program
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and institutional regulations
Lead safety risk assessments, audits, and corrective action plans
Develop and implement initiatives to reduce or eliminate safety and environmental risks
Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and incident reduction
Design, implement, and achieve annual EHS goals, targets, and metrics
Prepare safety reports, track KPIs, and analyze performance trends
Deliver safety training, coaching, and engagement programs to build a strong safety culture
Support chemical inventory management and laboratory compliance activities
Qualification
Required
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification (required)
4+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety regulations (OSHA, EPA)
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards and compliance requirements
Preferred
Experience working in a laboratory setting
Experience managing chemical inventories
OSHA 30 certification preferred
