Responsibilities
Develop and optimize machine learning models for real-world and national security and defense applications
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for model training and deployment
Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
Conduct research to explore new AI/ML techniques and stay updated on the latest industry advancements
Evaluate model performance, troubleshoot issues, and fine-tune solutions for optimal results
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Java, with expertise in ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and statistical methods
Experience building and deploying machine learning models into production environments
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for AI/ML workflows
Familiarity with data wrangling, ETL pipelines, and big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required
Preferred
Experience with specific AI domains, such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or reinforcement learning
Understanding of MLOps principles and tools like MLflow or Kubeflow
Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects
Published research or patents in the AI/ML space
