Product & Operations Associate

Superheat is dedicated to transforming computing heat into sustainable resources. The Product & Operations Associate will focus on product management while supporting founder-level business development and operations, requiring strong bilingual communication skills.

Responsibilities

Translate product vision and customer needs into clear, actionable requirements
Write PRDs, specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Maintain and prioritize the product backlog
Work closely with design and engineering to ship features end-to-end
Participate in user interviews, pilots, and testing
Track product metrics and help define success criteria
Support BD and partner conversations, especially with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
Help coordinate with distributors, service providers, and technical partners
Own ambiguous, cross-functional projects that don’t fit neatly into one team
Sit in on technical and customer calls and synthesize insights into decisions
Translate between technical detail and business context
Turn unstructured ideas into clear plans designers and engineers can execute
Act as a reliable execution arm for the founder
Handle work that requires context, judgment, and follow-through — not micromanagement

Required

Currently pursuing (Junior/Senior) or recently graduated from a reputable 4-year university (or equivalent) with a Bachelor's Degree
Fluent English and Mandarin (spoken and written) — required
Hands-on experience in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
Comfortable discussing: APIs, backend systems, and data flows; hardware–software interactions (high level); technical tradeoffs and constraints
You do not need to be an engineer — but you must be able to think technically

Preferred

Have some experience in product, engineering, or early-stage startups
Are bilingual and culturally fluent across English and Mandarin speaking contexts
Are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid context switching
Want to build something from 0 to 1
