Responsibilities
Oversee general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
Manage and review payroll processing using ADP
Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and financial procedures
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Coordinate audits and work with external auditors and advisors
Supervise and mentor accounting staff as needed
Work closely with executive leadership to provide financial analysis and decision support
Qualification
Required
Experience with Great Plains (GP) and/or Blackbaud Financial Edge required
Advanced Excel skills; strong financial systems aptitude
Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, and grant reporting
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred
CPA preferred but not required
Hands-on experience with payroll systems (ADP preferred)
Proven experience as a Controller or Senior Accounting Manager, preferably within a nonprofit organization
