Financial Advisor - Support Advisor I

Responsibilities
Delegate efficiently to client service team
Prepare for client meetings – adds strategies and recommendations to agenda, bring those recommendations to group case review and adjust agenda as needed
Attend client meetings as directed, take notes, and complete all client follow-up
Create product illustrations and proposals (OBO Advisors)
Address client inquiries via phone or email, escalate issues to lead advisors as needed
Retrieve e-form drafts during meeting to complete, verify and sign (or e-signature) - this includes setting up new clients during the client meeting
Close cases in AnnuityNet
Addresses Thomson Alerts (OBO Advisor)
Assist with financial planning arrangements/payments when necessary
Address action needed emails and delegate as needed
Process transactions on behalf of client
Make direct rollover calls with clients and third parties
Dedication and contribution to Guidingpoint and individual goals
Community involvement
Attend marketing events monthly and drive attendance through social media outlets and email invites
Consistent LinkedIn activity to drive new clients, via posting, new connections, and messaging
Support Senior and Lead advisors with ongoing financial plan analysis and maintenance. This includes preparing financial plans in current financial planning software and may require proactively reaching out to client for data. If applicable, work with the outsourced planning team to create plans
Track progress of outstanding business to report back to Senior Advisor
Review monthly reports to identify opportunities and missed transactions
Meet with lead and senior advisors to review
Attend all applicable training and meetings as assigned
Track and maintain education credits to maintain licensing
Be aware and adhere to compliance rules within the Guidingpoint practice
Qualification
Required
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet service level agreements
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of financial planning concepts
Proactively seeking opportunities to enhance knowledge
Have robust time management and organizational skills
Confident, polished, effective, polite, and clear communication and interpersonal skills
Build strong working relationship with all levels within the organization
Ability to communicate with clients and other advisor/staff

Basic knowledge of client service processes

Ability to develop a specialty in technology, compliance, financial planning, marketing, insurance or other topic germane to the financial planning process

Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor, Ameriprise Financial
Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Ameriprise applications/software

College degree and Federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including Series 7, Series 66, and State life, accident, and health insurance licenses (or completed within 180 days of hire)
Minimum 1-3 years professional office experience or financial services industry experience
