The role involves the analysis, design, implementation, and support of existing Motor Vehicle mainframe applications, including writing code, troubleshooting, and maintaining applications.

Responsibilities
Write code, revise and adapt existing code, troubleshoot and resolve defects
Maintain and support applications to keep them performing in accordance with technical and functional specifications
Perform system tests and debug programs according to results of system test and user acceptance test
Assess ideas and suggestions for system upgrades or improvements
Evaluate and recommend development tools and software upgrades/enhancements
Provide effective on-site support as needed
Participate in product design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements
Document all work for future reference, including end-user documentation and manuals as well as status updates to management and users
Qualification
Required
Proficient in NATURAL Software Development
Proficient in ADABAS database development
Proficient in TSO
Proficient in JCL
Proficient in FTP
Proficient in Cobol
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
Experience preparing technical documentation
Good oral and written communication skills
Preferred
SQL Server database experience desired
