Sales Support Specialist

Alpha is a company seeking a Sales Support Specialist who plays a vital role in winning over prospective customers and expanding current customer business. The primary purpose of this role is to optimize the quote to order to purchase order to change order processes while maximizing cost savings through discounting programs.

Responsibilities

Supporting our sales team in winning new business and increasing sales
Prepare quotes, proposals and bid documentation
Validate pricing as needed
Compile information to be included with sales packages
Leverage knowledge of discounting programs to win inside sales opportunities as they arise
Drive customer satisfaction through providing a single point-of-contact for current and prospective customers questions and inquiries
Perform as a liaison between sales, service and our customers to ensure each critical group is fully informed and aware of critical timelines and touchpoints
Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries via phone, email and direct messaging
Anticipate where challenges may arise and attempt to proactively resolve before they negatively impact our relationships
Improve internal efficiency through continuous process improvement efforts
Leverage quarterly objective planning to identify opportunities to improve our accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness
Follow through and implement identified solutions, whether specific to the sales support team or in partnership with various internal partners
Regularly check in with department to gauge if and where help may be needed
Enhance profitability through timely order entry and accurately processing returns

Required

Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role, typically gained through a minimum of 3 years of experience
Consistent ability to produce timely and accurate documentation
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Expert level verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with ERP software and MS Office applications
Ability to effectively prioritize work
Strong attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
High School Diploma or equivalent
