Responsibilities
Analyze payment data to better understand potential risks, concerns, and outcomes of decisions
Assess business model risk, conduct fraud security checks, and determine credit exposure on new and existing merchants to determine appropriate course of action
Evaluate personal credit, bank, and financial statements to assess credit worthiness
Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment
Concisely articulate the results of your evaluation in persuasive, written correspondence
Monitor and investigate merchant’s processing activities to identify any unusual or concerning activity
Investigate complex dispute claims in accordance with rules and regulations with a high degree of accuracy and within prescribed time limits
Collaborate with other team members to effectively analyze and present data
Develop and maintain a strong familiarity with all data tools while identifying opportunities for possible risk systems enhancements
Contact merchants as part of the investigative process to understand pattern of activity, request supporting documentation and advise of alternative actions (such as account termination)

Collaborate with internal sales and other colleagues to support a successful merchant experience
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred
5 years' related experience preferred; Industry experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with partners and clients in high pressure situations, along with interpersonal and telephone communication skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines
Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Suite applications
Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems
Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data
Ability to manage multiple projects and programs at the same time to complete work
Quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts
Familiarity with financial reporting such as Tax Returns, P&L Statements, Balance Sheets, and Banking Records
Must be detail oriented and analytical
Sound judgment, strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and as a team, toward the achievement of client and team goals
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team but assume ownership and responsibility for team and self-assigned work
