The role of Founding Manga Artist involves creating original series, collaborating with writers and designers, and delivering visually compelling chapters.

Responsibilities
Own page-ready art from thumbnails to final: layouts, inks, screentones, FX, lettering passes
Craft dynamic paneling, cinematic framing, and action clarity across shonen/seinen/shojo/josei tones
Co-create with writers on storyboards, pacing, and page turns; iterate fast inside sprints
Build character/creature/prop sheets and style guides for cross-team use
Throughput target @ 20h/wk: 4–6 finished pages/week •or• 8–12 roughs/week (title/scene complexity may adjust)
Develop pilot one-shots and pitch packs for greenlight
Mentor future hires as we scale the studio
Qualification
Required
Portfolio that proves range (combat, quiet moments, expressions, environments)
Fluency with Clip Studio Paint EX (preferred), plus Photoshop/Procreate; clean file hygiene
Mastery of tones/halftones, speedlines, SFX integration, and print/export standards
Strong fundamentals: anatomy, perspective, composition, lighting, fabric/hair/FX
