OFFICE SECRETARY II LICENSING ASSISTANT
The State of Maryland is seeking an Office Secretary II/Licensing Assistant for the State Board of Long-Term Care Administrators. This role involves providing administrative support and customer service while assisting with licensing and complaint processes.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Serve as the Board’s customer service liaison and provide administrative support for Board operations
Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties
Assist with licensing and complaint processes for NHAs and ALMs
Create, store, and maintain electronic applicant and licensee files
Prepare for Board and Committee meetings
Draft meeting minutes
Enter complaint data
Prepare expense reports
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Two years performing secretarial or clerical work involving typing duties
Demonstrated ability to accurately type on a keyboard of a personal computer at a minimum of forty words per minute may be required, depending on the specific requirements of the position
Preferred
Experience communicating effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing (to include your proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar in the English language)
Experience providing courteous and timely customer service to internal and external stakeholders and the public in a tactful and professional manner
Experience performing basic arithmetic computations
Experience in Google Suite applications, Microsoft Office Suite applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat (to include your proficiency level for each program)
Experience with utilizing video conferencing programs (e.g. Google Meet and/or Zoom)
