Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly payroll for over 300 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Review and reconcile employee timesheets in the time and attendance system, coordinating with managers to verify approvals
Compile payroll data for additional payments, including bonuses, commissions, and benefits
Prepare and execute expense reimbursements, commuter benefits, and life spending account payments through payroll systems
Handle new state jurisdiction registrations for new hires, collaborating with the tax department to ensure compliance
Address employee inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues efficiently
Work closely with Human Resources to verify benefit and direct deposit setups for new hires
Manage quarterly and year-end payroll closings, including W-2s and 941 tax reconciliations
Perform payroll reporting reconciliations and prepare journal entries for general ledger postings to meet month-end deadlines
Lead ad hoc payroll and financial reporting projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Strong proficiency in processing bi-weekly payroll and managing payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now
Demonstrated experience with month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Knowledge of general ledger management and bank reconciliation procedures
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and issue resolution
Advanced time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
Solid mathematical skills to ensure accurate payroll calculations
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
