Responsibilities
Support the sales, trading & technology functions of GX2 Systems and South Street Securities
Acquire comprehensive system-algorithm knowledge and develop a deep understanding of the constituent markets thoroughly and in-depth
Complete a rigorous internal training program in qualitative and quantitative fixed income markets, with an emphasis on trading
Support both digital and analog trading frameworks in a sales-trader capacity, serving South Street Securities’ external users and internal trading desks
Analyze performance and TCA results, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders
Conduct market studies, data analysis and statistical inference within a robust, well-structured analytical framework
Qualification
Required
Candidates should have 0–2 years of work experience
Candidates should hold a STEM degree in fields such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, the natural sciences, economics or econometrics
Bachelor's degrees in finance, accounting or related fields with a strong technical emphasis are also acceptable
Excellent problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills
FINRA registration (or willingness to complete)
Preferred
Front‑office experience is not required; however, experience in risk management, operations, product control, treasury and liquidity management, trade support, quant‑IT, strategy or research is preferred
Proficiency in Python programming
Proficiency in R programming
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with Bloomberg Desktop API with Python, R and Excel
Proficiency in additional programming languages or analytical applications such as C#, MATLAB, S, EViews or similar tools
