Responsibilities

Perform Prefunding QC loan audits on an assigned population of loans, ensuring quality and risk standards are maintained within the loan file
Perform risk evaluations on mortgage loans
Complete complex analysis on all types of loan products
Conduct evaluations of underwriting decisions
Effectively communicate findings and potential resolutions to responsible departments
Document to management the concerns or discrepancies for needed corrective action
Provide support and assistance to department when needed

Required

Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education/experience in mortgage underwriting
5+ years' experience in underwriting mortgage loans
Knowledge of agency and investor guidelines
Excellent communication skills
Advanced attention to detail and organization skills
Excellent prioritization and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred

DE, LAPP, and SAR preferred
Experience with Encompass LOS system, a plus
