Responsibilities

Analyzes product data from a variety of sources and develops a classification schema. Develops rules to ensure the accurate classification and cross-referencing of products used
Develops, implements, and monitors a value analysis process to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of clinical products and to identify cost-savings and quality improvement opportunities. Collaborates on clinical product evaluation and selection processes
Solicits the input of clinical leaders to achieve customer satisfaction with product selection and use
Serves as a liaison between department, internal customers, and vendors to communicate and resolve issues, including pricing discrepancies, product conversions, inventory control practices, contract management and vendor support
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action

Required

High School diploma or GED
PHATP (Pharmacy Technician Provisional) certification from State Board of Pharmacy
PHAT (Pharmacy Technician) certification from State Board of Pharmacy within 18 months of hire
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
3 years of Pharmacy Technician or Buyer experience
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
