The role involves repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and performing general building repairs within the Melrose Park Complex.

Responsibilities
Repair all material handling equipment including: mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatics and electronic systems
Performs maintenance and repair functions in all facilities on the Melrose Park Complex including: automated and mechanized material handling equipment (conveyors, cranes, balers, etc.), general building repairs (lights, plumbing, doors, etc.), grounds upkeep (pavement, fencing, parking areas, etc.) to include snow plow/removal and ice melt applications
Possess the ability to identify recyclable items and separate them as necessary (scrap metal/iron, all types of batteries, etc.)
Have basic knowledge of the Fire Protection/Suppression systems operations in all Complex facilities
Qualification
Required
Must have the ability to operate work related equipment and tools (hand and power) to include powered equipment, forklifts, man-lifts, pallet jacks, and all types of testing equipment
Must possess basic computer skills
The ability to interact with all warehouse employees in a professional manor
Must be able to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance, repair and service procedures
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work at both ground level and in high places to perform job tasks and duties
Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities and tasks
Must have the ability to operate work related equipment and tools (hand and power) to include powered equipment, forklifts, man-lifts, pallet jacks and all types of diagnostic equipment
Must have the ability to learn and follow Company and Distribution Center policies and procedures encompassing work orders, purchase requisitions/orders, spare parts and supplies inventories
Must have the ability to read and comprehend all labeling on hazardous materials and equipment in the facility(s)
