Responsibilities
Design and implement backend services using Kotlin and gRPC for a sophisticated grid planning tool
Build complex data pipelines and ingestion systems to handle diverse data sources
Develop and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas and queries for optimal performance
Create and execute comprehensive test suites to ensure code quality and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced research and development environment
Participate in rapid prototyping and iterative development cycles to quickly validate concepts

Strong proficiency in Kotlin with experience building production-grade backend services
Experience with gRPC, protocol buffers, and API design for distributed systems
Familiarity with Bazel build system and modern CI/CD practices

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services and infrastructure
Proven ability to write comprehensive tests and maintain high code quality standards
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
