TEC Group, Inc. is seeking a Life Safety Systems Designer to work on projects that support semiconductor manufacturing and data center facilities. The role involves computer-aided drafting and design of Life Safety and Security Systems, collaborating with engineers and architects to deliver complex design packages.

Responsibilities

Perform computer-aided drafting and design of Life Safety and Security Systems for advanced facilities
Deliver complex packages in coordination with multi-disciple engineers and design leads
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create a 3D model space in coordination with architects and engineers
Design Security Surveillance, Access Control and Intrusion detection systems from 3D BIM models
Perform calculations and apply NFPA and ICC codes and other standards to model content
Specify equipment at the direction of the engineering staff

Required

High school graduate or equivalent
At Least 3-5 years' AutoCAD experience, (preferably Revit experience)
Systems design experience with, Security Surveillance, Access Control and Intrusion detection systems
NICET Security certification
ASIS International Advanced Security Worldwide
Manufacture's equipment certifications

Preferred

3-5 years of systems design experience
Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
Knowledge of Security systems and manufacturer's equipment
Industrial design experience
