They are seeking a West Coast-based Senior Cost Estimator to join their team, responsible for creating comprehensive cost estimates and supporting business development efforts.

Responsibilities
Create estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations at all levels of project development
Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessary
Provide a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate the client’s project and strategic goals
Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures
Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals
Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining the accuracy of cost information
Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships by creating cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 10 years as a cost estimating professional, preferably as a consultant, to include, but not limited to, conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering solutions, etc
Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications)
Ability to work independently
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Proficient user of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar quantity takeoff software
A bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or architecture
