Senior Finance Analyst, Core Diagnostics R&D and Regulatory Affairs

The Senior Finance Analyst will serve as the financial partner and counsel to the Regulatory and Medical/Clinical Affairs teams, providing financial support for the R&D Team and overseeing various financial reporting and planning tasks.

Accounting

Responsibilities

Responsible for month-end close support including cost center tracking and reporting, and variance analysis
Review and ensure timely submission of actuals and required commentary to Division
Support the development of the annual Plan. Coordinate with PMO to understand and incorporate R&D Long Range Portfolio and Commercial prioritization when developing the annual Plan
Support preparation of the Division Review Decks and all required Division/Corporate schedules
Develop quarterly RLBE and Confirmations
Develop timely and accurate P&L and BS forecasts for respective departmental spend
Understand and communicate key forecast assumptions and potential material risks and opportunities to the forecasts
Actively participate in RLBE and Confirmation reviews with R&D FP&A manager and Controller
Prepare schedules and commentary required for Division submission
Develop and distribute monthly actuals reporting package. Prepare DVP Staff Meeting and monthly review packages
Prepare and/or review other monthly financial results presentations for each organization as needed
Provide financial counsel to business partners and prepare ad hoc analyses as required
Operate independently with broad scope of responsibility under minimal supervision and under challenging time constraints
Assume a significant leadership role in the identification, development and implementation of financial policies and procedures across the organization
Identify and implement creative solutions to complex financial challenges in an environment of changing business needs
Facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, develop recommendations, and implement solutions
Form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior
Communicate clearly, concisely and accurately with all levels of the organization

Required

Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting or finance
3-5 years of finance experience to include roles of increasing responsibility in accounting and/or finance
Strong Excel skills

Experience with TM1 & SAP
