Responsibilities
Prepare and file trademark applications and related filings, including Statements of Use, extensions of time, Amendments to Allege Use, and Sections 8 & 15 declarations
Docket, monitor, and manage trademark deadlines and compliance requirements
Serve as a primary point of contact for routine client communications, including status updates, deadline reminders, and administrative follow-up
Provide day-to-day prosecution support to attorneys, including tracking open items, maintaining organized records, and ensuring matters progress efficiently
Assist with Madrid Protocol applications and international filings; manage communications with foreign associates and coordinate instructions regarding filings, deadlines, and local procedural requirements
Support attorneys in TTAB proceedings and trademark litigation, including drafting and filing documents and maintaining pleadings files and docket
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a trademark paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department, with substantial experience handling U.S. trademark prosecution and international trademark portfolios
Knowledge of U.S. and international trademark rules and procedures; familiarity with TTAB proceedings and related filings
Strong docketing and deadline-management skills (experience with Anaqua PATTSY-Wave strongly preferred)
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to independently manage a high volume of matters
Strong written communication skills, including experience drafting polished, client-facing correspondence and communications with foreign counsel
Preferred
