Trust Investment Officer, CFP
UNION Savings BANK is seeking a Trust Investment Officer to serve as the business development representative for investment options within the Trust Department. This role involves collaborating with Trust Officers to develop and implement investment strategies, managing investments, and ensuring compliance with fiduciary standards.
Responsibilities
Manage investments across estate, trust, agency, IRA, and other account types
Buy/sell securities in accordance with agreements and committee policies
Monitor economic conditions and adjust asset allocation targets accordingly
Maintain approved securities lists and present updates to the Trust Committee
Conduct due diligence on securities and prepare performance reports
Work closely with Trust Administration Officers, Advisors and Staff
Develop Investment Policy Statements tailored to client goals
Review legacy positions and recommend strategies
Respond to client inquiries and conduct periodic investment reviews
Presentations for Not For Profits
Recommend and execute trades for discretionary accounts
Compare actual allocations to tactical models and adjust as needed
Analyze financial documents to assess portfolio design and financial health
Ensure alignment with tax considerations and regulatory requirements
Member & Participant in the Trust Investment Committee
Report on investment activities and performance to internal committees
Contribute to investment-related projects
Support new business efforts by reviewing portfolios and proposing changes
Prepare proposals and assist in onboarding new trust accounts
Represent the bank in community activities and client meetings
Monitor and rebalance trust portfolios to ensure alignment with clients’ investment objectives, risk tolerance and financial goals
Provide regular updates and communication on portfolio performance, market trends, and any changes to investment strategies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred and minimum 6 years of related work experience that required making investment recommendations and allocations relied upon others
CFP or CTFA designation
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with fiduciary standards, regulatory compliance and portfolio construction
Preferred
Experience with non-model portfolios and unique asset classes is highly desirable
