As a Backend Engineer Intern, you will work on the SmartTax AI MVP, focusing on backend services that handle data ingestion, processing, and secure access, including APIs and databases.

Supporting authentication and access control logic
Handling background jobs and asynchronous workflows

Improving backend performance, reliability, and security
Participating in code reviews and technical discussions

Required
Experience building backend services or APIs
Solid understanding of databases and backend fundamentals
Familiarity with REST APIs and server-side logic
Interest in building production-style backend systems
