Responsibilities
Defend carriers and insureds in auto, premises liability, transportation and construction defect cases
Draft pleadings, discovery responses and dispositive motions in New York state and federal courts
Take plaintiff, witness and expert depositions across Long Island and the greater NYC area
Argue substantive motions and Daubert challenges in court
Second-chair and eventually first-chair jury trials in Nassau, Suffolk and EDNY venues
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in New York
Experience in insurance defense litigation
Strong research and writing skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel for depositions and court appearances
