Mid LevelElgebra is seeking a Nomad OSS Developer, a role focused on orchestrating, deploying, and managing applications using Hashi Corp Nomad. The developer will automate application management, create job specifications, integrate with ecosystem tools, troubleshoot issues, and implement CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities
Design and Implement Orchestration: Automate the management of containerized and non-containerized applications using Nomad
Develop Job Specifications: Create, test, and maintain declarative job files (using HCL or JSON) that define how applications should run, including resource requirements and deployment strategies
Integrate with Ecosystem Tools: Seamlessly integrate Nomad with other Hashi Corp products like Consul for service discovery and secrets management using Vault
Troubleshoot and Optimize: Debug scheduling issues, inspect job logs, and optimize resource utilization through techniques like bin-packing and autoscaling
Implement CI/CD Workflows: Establish continuous integration and deployment pipelines for automated, zero-downtime deployments
Qualification
Required
Strong background in software development, often with specific programming languages like Go, Java, C#, or Python
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), Docker, and version control systems (Git)
Ability to design and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems
