Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end billing for assigned attorneys and client matters
Prepare monthly proformas and work with attorneys on edits and approvals
Finalize invoices in accordance with client billing guidelines and internal standards
Submit and monitor electronic invoices, resolve rejections, and handle rate approvals
Maintain and update client billing instructions within the firm’s billing system
Respond to billing questions from attorneys, staff, and clients
Research billing issues and discrepancies as they arise
Assist with monthly statements and outstanding invoice follow-ups
Qualification
Required
5+ years of legal billing in a law firm environment
Required working knowledge of Elite 3E and electronic billing platforms
Experience with major e-billing vendors (e.g., CounselLink, Serengeti, Legal Exchange, Tymetrix, etc.)
Solid understanding of LEDES files and client billing guidelines
Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable partnering with attorneys and taking ownership of assigned matters
