Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions in Microsoft SQL Server
Develop, enhance, and support SSRS reports, including parameterized reports, subscriptions, and data-driven delivery
Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using established datasets and data models
Translate business and reporting requirements into technical solutions across SQL, SSRS, and Power BI
Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation to ensure report accuracy and consistency
Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from business users
Optimize SQL queries and reports for performance and reliability in an on-prem environment
Troubleshoot data issues, report defects, and performance problems across the reporting stack
Implement and maintain basic report security, including role-based access and row-level security where applicable
Participate in impact analysis and testing for report and data model changes
Document report logic, data sources, and development standards
Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define KPIs
Provide estimates and input for reporting enhancements and new development efforts
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server in a reporting or BI-focused role
Strong T-SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, and stored procedures
Hands-on experience developing and maintaining SSRS reports in an on-prem environment
Experience creating Power BI reports, dashboards, and basic data models
Solid understanding of relational database concepts and reporting data structures
Experience performing data analysis and supporting ad-hoc business questions
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
