Responsibilities

Design and maintain workflows that transform unstructured and semi-structured information into structured datasets used across investment and research systems
Partner with investors and internal stakeholders to understand how data is used, and translate those needs into clear schemas, definitions, and data logic
Evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party and alternative data sources, including assessing quality, coverage, and integration readiness
Own data quality and validation processes, including anomaly detection, reconciliation, and ongoing monitoring of key datasets
Design labeling, tagging, and enrichment approaches that improve signal quality and make datasets easier to interrogate and reuse
Support internal tools, dashboards, and workflows that help teams explore data, compare signals, and make informed decisions
Investigate data issues surfaced by users, trace root causes, and improve upstream processes to prevent recurrence
Help define best practices for how data is documented, governed, and shared across teams

Required

Experience working with complex datasets in investment, finance, VC, PE, hedge fund, or similarly high-stakes analytical environments
Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Excel for data analysis, validation, and transformation
A strong data quality mindset, with experience cleaning, normalizing, reconciling, and validating data from multiple sources
Comfort working with vendor and third-party data, including onboarding, quality checks, and ongoing operations
Ability to translate ambiguous business or research questions into structured, usable data assets
Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with senior stakeholders
Curiosity about markets, incentives, and how information becomes decision-relevant

Preferred

Familiarity with AI-assisted research tools or LLM-enabled workflows is a plus, but deep ML experience is not required
