The role involves preparing customer needs analysis, providing quotes, and acting as a liaison between various departments to ensure project success.

Responsibilities
Application Engineers prepare an analysis of the customer needs, review CAD data, research plastic material requirements, and gather supplemental information to create a concept of the applicable products. Then, via use of the ERP system, provide a quote to the customer for cost and lead time of the INCOE product solution
Once the quote is accepted by the customer, the Applications Engineer initiates the process of opening the order in the ERP system and supplies Design Engineers with pertinent data. Applications Engineering provides consultation to the customer through the design and development process, then reviews Design Engineering outputs (CAD data and drawings) with the customer for approval and acceptance
Applications Engineering also supports customer requests for FEA mold filling simulations, via a team of engineers, as they pertain to the product solution
The Application Engineer is the liaison between Design, Manufacturing, Sales, and the customer, supporting the project from quotation to shipment

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in the study of Plastics Technology
Mechanical Engineering with Plastics Minor
two to three years related experience
equivalent combination of education and experience in Injection Molding
Preferred
Mold filling experience a plus
