SRI Tech Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Water Electrolysis Research Scientist to join their team. The role involves investigating electrocatalysts for AEM water electrolysis, fabricating electrodes, and conducting electrochemical characterization and durability testing.

Responsibilities

Investigate non-PGM electrocatalysts for AEM water electrolysis, identifying promising candidates for further development

Integrate catalyst with ionomers to fabricate and optimize non-PGM AEM electrodes

Perform electrochemical and physical characterization of electrocatalyst materials and electrolysis cells

Conduct durability testing to study degradation mechanisms, and develop mitigation strategies to improve AEM electrode durability

Contribute to related projects, such as proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis or fuel cells, as assigned

Prepare and evaluate technical plans, reports, presentations, and proposals to support project success

Qualification

Required

Ph.D. or equivalent in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or closely related field

Hand-on experience in electrocatalyst synthesis, electrode fabrication, and electrochemical characterization

Ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary research environment

Preferred

Extensive experience in AEM water electrolysis or related electrochemical energy conversion technologies
