Entry, Mid, Senior Level, Lead/StaffThe State of Delaware is seeking an Engineer I-IV for the Expedited Review Team (ERT) to facilitate expedited reviews for statewide economic development projects. The role involves reviewing engineering drawings for compliance, managing review schedules, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting various grant programs.

Responsibilities
Drafts, develops and modifies engineering designs, plans and specifications
Reviews permit applications, blueprints and/or designs prepared by others to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
Applies the principles and theories of science and mathematics to research and develop solutions to technical problems
Plans and conducts field studies, surveys, research and development projects, inspections and/or investigations to collect data and ensure conformance to state/federal laws and regulations
Tests or evaluates materials, equipment, systems and facilities
Plans and coordinates engineering projects
Reviews, analyzes and reports on the status of projects and/or regulatory conformance
Develops cost estimates for project time and materials
Provides technical guidance and training to technical staff
Qualification
Required
Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher (or have an anticipated graduation date within 12 months) in one or more of the discipline(s) of engineering shown below OR official notice of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) in one or more of the discipline(s) of engineering shown below

Agricultural Engineering
Material Science Engineering
At least one year experience in one or more of the discipline(s) of engineering shown below OR possession of a Masters degree or higher in one or more of the discipline(s) of engineering shown below
At least four years experience in one or more of the discipline(s) of engineering shown below
Knowledge of engineering project management which includes planning, scheduling, staffing, coordinating, controlling, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the status of engineering projects
Possession of a valid Delaware Professional Engineering License OR Possession of a valid Professional Engineering license issued by a proper authority of a state, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia, or a province or territory of Canada
At least five years experience in one or more of the discipline(s) of engineering shown below
Six months experience in engineering project management which includes planning, scheduling, staffing, coordinating, controlling, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the status of engineering projects
Benefits
Sign-On Bonus – Incentives are based on the position classification: $4,000 Engineer I, $5,000 Engineer II, $6,000 Engineer III, $7,000 Engineer IV
