Senior Network Security Engineer
Stanford Black Limited is a high-growth systematic trading firm seeking a Network Security Engineer to oversee network security design and architecture across a rapidly scaling global infrastructure. This role focuses on defining security architecture and standards while collaborating with the Reliability team for implementation.
Responsibilities
Designing and standardising EVPN / BGP with VXLAN and Spine–Leaf architecture (currently rolling out in NYC, to become the global standard across all regions)
Supporting global expansion, including new data centre builds across APAC and the Americas
Driving network security automation across the firm, particularly automated firewall policy management
Designing and building their DMZ, across the intranet and extranet
Defining long-term network segregation and security posture across data centres, colos, and cloud
Qualification
Required
Strong firewall design and architecture experience (Palo Alto and/or Fortinet)
Proven experience designing and implementing DMZs (intranet & extranet)
Deep experience with network segregation and secure multi-zone architectures
Strong automation capability, particularly around firewall policy automation
Solid routing & switching background — Arista preferred, Cisco also acceptable
Excellent CLI skills and comfort operating in complex, high-performance environments
Experience within a fast-paced industry; financial services beneficial but not essential
