Supervisor (Documents Control Section)

Responsibilities

Oversee the work of the Documents Control Section in order to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the Section's work
Coordinate the development of written procedures and improvements in processing of filings assigned to the Section
Screen submissions for compliance with the Rules of the Court
Enter filings into the automated docket
Correspond with counsel and pro se litigants concerning defective filings

Required

A college degree and at least three years of experience working in a court or comparable legal environment is required
Progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience - preferably in reviewing and docketing submissions in a Clerk's Office - is also required
Thorough knowledge of judicial organization, operations, jurisdiction, Rules, and procedures
Strong analytical judgment with keen attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously, both verbally and in writing
Ability to manage others and to work cooperatively and constructively with the Clerk's Office management team
Exhibit the highest levels of discretion and judgment
