Responsibilities
Design, build, and evolve end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Spark
Architect and maintain Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions using Delta Lake for performance, reliability, and scalability
Implement and mature Medallion Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold) within OneLake
Develop scalable ETL/ELT frameworks supporting batch, incremental, and dynamic ingestion patterns
Optimize performance through partitioning strategies, schema design, file layout, caching, and query tuning
Enable analytics and reporting via semantic models and Direct Lake integration
Establish data quality, validation, observability, and monitoring to ensure trusted and governed datasets
Partner with product and business teams to translate requirements into robust, extensible data models
Contribute to data governance standards, documentation, and platform best practices
Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, and collaborative design sessions
Drive solutions that produce measurable business outcomes, not just technical outputs
Qualification
Required
Senior-level experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related disciplines
Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale, production-grade data platforms
Deep hands-on experience with Azure or comparable cloud data ecosystems, including: Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake), Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or similar BI tools
Strong experience with Apache Spark (PySpark and/or Spark SQL)
Advanced SQL skills (T-SQL and/or ANSI SQL)
Hands-on experience with Delta Lake and modern data lake architectures
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
A mindset of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement
Preferred
AWS- or Snowflake-based data platforms (experience welcomed)
