Responsibilities
Perform engineering design and modeling for water, wastewater, stormwater, and utility infrastructure projects
Produce plans, calculations, analyses, and technical documentation using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and InfraWorks
Develop and evaluate stormwater models; advanced modeling experience is a strong plus
Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to support the development of high-quality deliverables
Participate in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders
Assist with project scheduling, task planning, and technical decision-making
Mentor and support junior engineers through design reviews, guidance, and technical training
Uphold and promote best practices in engineering standards, quality control, and documentation
Contribute to technical proposals, scope development, and level-of-effort estimates
Support business development activities through technical insight and project experience
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
8+ years of experience in water, wastewater, stormwater, or utilities design
PE license or ability to obtain licensure within 8–12 months
Strong technical proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD
Strong technical proficiency in Autodesk InfraWorks
Strong technical writing skills
Strong verbal communication skills
Strong team leadership capabilities
Working knowledge of Baltimore City, Baltimore County, DC Water, and WSSC standards and specifications
Ability to work in-person in the Laurel, MD office with hybrid flexibility
Preferred
Advanced stormwater modeling experience
