Responsibilities
Architect, implement, and evolve robust, maintainable, scalable automation frameworks covering UI, API, integration, and end-to-end flows
Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows; ensure test environments are reliable and representative; build tooling that helps developers and testers run tests locally and in pipelines
Create test plans and strategies; ensure sufficient automated test coverage; design and write automated test cases for new features; maintain & extend existing test suites
Partner with developers early in planning and design to ensure features are testable; contribute to code reviews, especially around quality, testability, and error handling; clarify acceptance criteria
Triage and analyze defects; perform root-cause analysis; feed insights back into the design & development process to avoid recurrence
Define and track quality metrics (e.g., test coverage, pass/fail rates, flakiness, test execution time, etc.); report status, help inform go/no-go decisions
Mentor and coach other QA resources or automation engineers; help raise standards in code, tests, documentation; share knowledge of best practices, tools, frameworks
Assist with production issue triage, maintain reliability during high traffic/sporting events; help with load, regression, and stability testing
Qualification
Required
Substantial experience (≈ 6-8+ years) in QA / Test Automation / SDET roles
Strong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, etc.)
Experience building & maintaining test automation frameworks (UI, API, integration); familiar tools e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, REST-/GraphQL API test tools, etc
Deep familiarity with CI/CD pipelines; experience integrating automated tests into CI (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Travis, CircleCI, etc.)
Good understanding of test environment management, mocking/stubbing, test data setup
Experience with version control (Git), build systems, code review
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability and willingness to work cross-functionally
Experience working in fast-paced / high availability settings
