Product Manager (Emulsifiers), North America - European company

The Product Manager – North America is responsible for market strategy, product pricing, and portfolio management for food ingredient categories in the USA and Canada.

Responsibilities
Define and execute the North American market strategy for assigned product categories
Manage and optimize the regional product portfolio in line with customer needs, market trends, and business objectives
Identify portfolio gaps, innovation opportunities, and rationalization priorities
Monitor competitive activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics
Develop and manage pricing strategies for the North American market
Support value-based pricing and margin optimization initiatives
Provide pricing recommendations for new product launches and customer projects
Monitor and manage the regional project pipeline from concept to commercialization
Prioritize projects based on strategic fit, feasibility, and commercial potential
Coordinate closely with sales teams, distributors, and customers to advance projects
Act as the key interface between the North American market and European R&D and supply chain teams
Support resource allocation decisions and development prioritization
Ensure alignment on timelines, feasibility, and successful product launches
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in product management, market management, or technical-commercial roles within the food ingredients industry
Highly regarded experience with emulsifiers, hydrocolloids, and vitamins, applied to baking, dairy, meat, and plant-based products
Strong understanding of the North American food market and customer expectations
This position requires a regular on-site presence to reinforce company culture, collaboration, and team dynamics
Travel is expected 20–30% of the time, primarily within the USA and Canada, to meet key clients, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events
