D365 Business Central Presales Solution Architect
The DYN Collective is seeking a D365 Business Central Presales Solution Architect to collaborate closely with prospective clients and design tailored solution approaches. This role involves leading ERP presales efforts, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the presales lifecycle, and maintaining strong relationships with Microsoft sellers and technology partners.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with prospective clients to uncover business requirements, position Dynamics 365 Business Central capabilities, and design right-fit solution approaches
Lead ERP presales efforts, including solution demonstrations, discovery sessions, scoping discussions, objection handling, and proposal development
Act as a trusted advisor throughout the presales lifecycle, guiding customers from initial conversations through contract execution
Maintain strong working relationships with Microsoft sellers and complementary technology partners to support joint opportunities
Serve as a clear, proactive communicator in a fast-moving sales environment focused on selling Business Central implementation and advisory services
Translate business needs into solution concepts using process flows, use cases, and high-level system designs
Contribute to the creation and refinement of repeatable ERP service offerings and packaged solutions
Build persuasive business cases and present recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
Own presales activities end-to-end: demos, estimates, statements of work, proposals, and commercial negotiations
Develop and manage a healthy pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and progressing new opportunities
Support marketing and demand-generation efforts such as webinars, industry events, and partner initiatives
Participate in solution and strategy discussions, balancing both technical feasibility and business value
Stay current on Business Central enhancements, ISV solutions, and industry best practices through ongoing learning and partner engagement
Assist in defining implementation roadmaps by assessing current-state vs. future-state processes within a cohesive solution architecture
Ensure recommended solutions align with client objectives, operational goals, and long-term scalability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent professional experience (MBA, particularly in Finance, is a plus)
7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
2+ years of experience selling professional services in a consulting or ERP environment
Demonstrated success in direct sales roles, including quota attainment, opportunity management, and customer engagement activities
Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate
Experience working with ISV solutions and integrations within the Business Central ecosystem
Ability to work remotely while participating in periodic in-person collaboration
Preferred
Industry experience supporting Manufacturing, Distribution, Healthcare, or Financial Services organizations
Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP
