Responsibilities
Work closely with the Director of Finance and the Financial Controller and provide supervisory support to various accounting functions of Finance department including accounts payable, inventory, collections, revenue audit, general ledger and financial reporting
Be effective and experienced in general accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations and accruals
Work closely with the Finance team to make sure work is completed in a timely manner
Supervise the Accounting Clerk
Assist with month-end close procedures and recurring journals
Prepare, review and post journal entries
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Research and resolve reconciling items
Assist with preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and expense variance analysis
Assist with preparation of state reports
Act as a designated P-Card Administrator
Create backups for Invoice Process Coordinator which includes accounts payable & inventory
Log checks received in the mail
Oversee bad debt collection and processing
Maintain records for daily bank deposits and follow up on unidentified variances
Maintain records for promotional prizes and create files for year-end Misc 1099 reporting
Prepare month-end journals and invoice for sportsbook operation
Prepare & submit bi-weekly toke/tip allocations to Shared Service Payroll for processing
Interface with management in various departments
Additional duties and projects as assigned by manager
Act as a liaison between corporate AP and property management to coordinate all necessary information to complete the Accounts Payable process
Maintain the integrity of all property inventories through cycle counts and implementation of best practices
Qualification
Required
Must assist in the accurate preparation and timely distribution of financial reports to management team
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations
Must be highly proficient in Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Team player and have ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout organization
Possess significant level of trust and discretion
Associates in Business/Accounting or equivalent work experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations
Must be at least 21 years of age
