Responsibilities

Assisting with the enhancement, maintenance, and daily operation of MMB systems
Providing responsive first-level technical support to end users
Serving as a primary resource for addressing help desk issues and tickets
Diagnosing and resolving routine system problems
Escalating complex cases when necessary
Providing technical guidance and assistance to other state agencies using MMB systems
Managing user access requests
Documenting support activities to improve service delivery
Monitoring system performance
Identifying recurring issues
Collaborating with team members to implement long-term solutions that enhance reliability and user experience

Required

Minimum of two (2) years of IT related experience with Linux and Windows systems administration, including tasks such as user account management, system configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and maintaining accurate documentation of system changes and procedures
Managing and resolving tickets and incidents using ticket systems, email, and various communication channels
Clear technical documentations, accurately log outages, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure timely resolution and communication during system incidents
Windows and/or Linux operating systems
Understanding computer systems concepts and the application of systems analysis techniques to evaluate, maintain, and improve information systems
Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties
Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving

Preferred

Experience administering Oracle PeopleSoft environments, including web, batch, and application servers
Proficiency in managing Broadcom Appworx for scheduled batch processing
Strong troubleshooting skills for both production and non-production system issues
Ability to develop and debug scripts for system administration, automation, and process optimization
Utilized Linux command-line tools (e.g., grep, awk, sed, top, ps, netstat, df, du) to monitor system performance, analyze logs, and manage processes
Background in providing technical support to customers
Experience in software installation, configuration, and maintenance
