Responsibilities
Effectively interact and communicate with peer- to Director-level IT professionals
Provide feedback to the team regarding product issues, enhancements, and new features
Demonstrate initiative, drive, and self-motivation
Ability to ask pertinent questions of others
Proactively identify, communicate, and implement process-related improvements
Effectively manage multiple tasks and activities concurrently and provide periodic status updates to key stakeholders
Collaborate extensively with peers and management to resolve client issues while actively contributing to a growing knowledge network
Prioritize numerous issues of varying severity and manage resolution within accepted service levels
Own data entered into the Helpdesk system and provide timely status updates to clients and internal teams
Demonstrate strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and responsiveness to customer tickets
Troubleshoot and recommend technical solutions for customer issues related to backup configuration and recovery
Develop workaround solutions as appropriate
Monitor and assess current backup systems and recommend hardware and software enhancements
Install, configure, test, monitor, and maintain backup system applications and hardware
Perform equipment and software upgrades
Maintain familiarity with current computer and network products
Adhere to corporate information security guidelines and promote information security awareness
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience with networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, MLLP, NDMP, and NTP
3+ years of experience with Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) hardware and software administration
3+ years of experience with Veeam software
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Hyper-V host and VM administration
3+ years of experience with PCI / NIST regulations, implementations, and/or audits
3+ years of experience with Change Management
3+ years of experience with Disaster Recovery
3+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting VMware
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree in Information Technology Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience OR High School diploma and 6 years of relevant experience
Preferred
STIG hardening
Experience with Pub 1075 regulations, implementations, and/or audits
Hybrid cloud architecture
Hyperconverged infrastructure
Shell scripting
Multiple industry certifications in the field, such as: MCP, MCSE, VMware, Veeam
