Responsibilities
Defend against single plaintiff litigation matters including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, and reasonable accommodation issues
Handle PAGA matters and class actions
Manage cases from start to finish independently
Draft and respond to initial pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions
Take and defend depositions, including plaintiffs’ depositions and corporate witnesses
Provide employment counseling on federal and state laws and regulations
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctorate (JD) required
Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California
9-12 years of relevant experience in labor and employment law
Experience in defending against single plaintiff litigation, class actions, and PAGA matters
Strong research, writing, and academic skills
Ability to work cases independently from start to finish
Preferred
Smaller portable book of business is ideal, but not required
