Responsibilities
Perform a range of design development, analysis, or review tasks independently
Responsible for complete designs, analyses, or design reviews independently or as the team leader
May lead engineering teams and act as a mentor to engineering team members
May train other engineers on technical issues related to the research, design, development, testing and analysis of engineering assignments
Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications
Direct interface and liaison with internal and external customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications
Conduct site visits and experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations
Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures
Prepare engineering studies
Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work
May provide technical management and leadership to a group of employees for a given project, contract or job with overall responsibility for cost, schedule technical and employee performance
Qualification
Required
Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university
12+ years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree
Experience in power system analysis, including load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, harmonic, arc flash and relay coordination studies
Experience in SKM, ETAP or other Power System Analysis software
Experience with electrical one line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams
Experience in sizing and specifying electrical equipment
Advanced level of understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems
Proficient in 2D AutoCAD, Revit and/or MicroStation
Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills
Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen and US Dual Citizenship may be considered
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance
Position may require travel
Preferred
Professional Engineer License in Electrical Engineering
DOE/DOD/Army Corp of Engineer project experience
Advanced level of experience in communications and security systems
Experience in 3D design using BIM, Revit, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD MEP
