HR Employment, Compliance Coordinator

Responsibilities

Serve as the central point of contact for I-9 compliance, managing documentation for all new hires, including faculty, staff, and student employees
Process I-9 forms weekly and participate in new hire orientation sessions to verify employment eligibility. Upload and maintain records using Workday and E-Verify
Conduct regular I-9 audits to ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain and prepare detailed reports for internal and external audits
Review and audit Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) and visa statuses for employees districtwide. Communicate updates and ensure timely follow-up
Respond to initial unemployment claims from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). Collaborate with HR team members to address and resolve claims efficiently
Maintain accurate records within the filing database related to Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR), ensuring timely tracking and reporting
Resolve compliance issues by communicating with various departments within the organization
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management to support departmental goals and compliance initiatives

Required

Associate degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of recent, directly related interviewing/recruitment experience OR any equivalent related combination of training and experience
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to cross-check and validate information for accuracy
Ability to work with a diverse group of people
