Responsibilities

Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, transfers, and retirements
Calculate and record depreciation and amortization in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Review capital expenditures to ensure proper classification and capitalization
Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers to the general ledger on a regular basis
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes related to fixed assets
Prepare fixed asset schedules and reports for financial reporting, audits, and management review
Assist with asset tagging, physical inventories, and asset verification processes
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Finance, and Operations teams regarding capital purchases and asset tracking
Assist with process improvements, documentation, and system updates related to fixed asset accounting

Qualification

Accounting degreeFixed asset accountingGAAP knowledgeSub-ledger reconciliationERP systems experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 2-5 years of accounting experience, with exposure to fixed asset accounting preferred
Working knowledge of GAAP (or applicable accounting standards) relating to fixed assets
Experience reconciling sub-ledgers and supporting audits

Preferred

Exposure to fixed asset accounting preferred
Prior experience with accounting or ERP systems preferred
