Responsibilities
Manage US federal and multi-state tax compliance, including monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax filings, state franchise taxes, and related statutory obligations
Maintain concise internal documentation of US tax requirements, deadlines, and key assumptions to ensure compliance continuity and audit readiness
Review the existing US tax setup, identify gaps or risks, and propose practical, scalable improvements
Coordinate and review tax returns prepared by external consultants, acting as the internal point of reference for US tax matters
Support month-end and year-end close for US entities, including accruals, prepaid asset schedules, and tax liability accounts, in coordination with the global Finance team
Prepare and maintain the monthly working trial balance, ensuring accurate postings and proper close procedures
Improve reconciliations, data quality, and internal controls, investigating and resolving variances
Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and Operations
Take full ownership of assigned US finance and tax topics, from identifying missing or unclear information to actively resolving it
Proactively gather information by:
Reaching out to internal stakeholders
Coordinating with external providers
Qualification
Required
4–5 years of professional experience in US accounting and tax roles
Solid hands-on experience with US multi-state taxation
Strong working knowledge of Excel
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
Detail-oriented, structured, and reliable in execution
Able to work independently while remaining aligned with a global team
Clear communicator, especially on US-specific tax and accounting matters
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a strong plus
